Services Garden consultancy If you don't think you need a design but would just like some advice, then you can book a consultation visit. Perhaps you have taken over an established garden and need advice on its upkeep - I will identify plants and advise on their maintenance, suggest improvements and offer hints and tips on making the most of your outdoor space. Garden design The first step is the initial consultation where we meet for an hour or so on site to discuss your requirements and budget. Next, a site survey is necessary to take measurements, notes and photographs. From this information I will produce a hand-drawn, to scale, concept plan for your approval. This is accompanied by a written report and sketches if appropriate. Once any necessary changes to the design have been made I can produce the final layout plan showing any hard landscaping in detail and basic planting elements. This plan is hand-drawn, coloured and accompanied once again by a written report. The final stage is to produce a planting scheme to enhance the design, using plants suitable for the climate, soil and aspect. This is accompanied by a detailed maintenance guide. At this stage you are free to take on the project yourself or hire a landscape contractor to carry out all or part of the work. I offer a project management service should you wish. Planted containers Imaginative seasonal planted containers for private and commercial clients - a maintenance service is available if required. Horticultural styling Innovative displays for events and photoshoots. Horticultural therapy The therapeutic benefits of gardening - working the soil, sowing seed or just spending a few hours outdoors with the company of others - are well documented. My work with Waverley Care has shown just what a difference it can make to peoples' lives. |
